Today is the day the time changes one more hour forward, I didn’t change my clock last night, so I got up late this morning. While I was getting ready in the bathroom this thought came to my mind, “I think that nobody loves me”. And immediately I knew that thought didn’t come from God, for I know that he loves me, and I began to say “God Loves me, and I love my life, and if no one else in this earth loves me, God and I are enough”.
When we had a bad beginning in life, (abandonment by parents, sexual, emotional,and physical abuse) sometimes we find ourselves trapped in the thoughts that nobody loves us, and nobody really cares about us.
For years after enduring abandonment in my childhood and after going through different kinds of abuse, my heart got en-hardened, and I was not able to love or to receive love, but when I opened my heart to Jesus, he came in and began to change everything from the inside out. It has been a long process,this change is still taking place. And it depends on us to remain in the truth that God loves us even when we do not feel lovable.
In a world where almost everything is about appearances, we might try to go with the flow at times, but some other times we get drained by the pressure and just get isolated, because we don’t want to face people who ask uncomfortable questions about our past, or those who are curious about our present, and future plans. When the truth is that we do not want to talk about anything because we are hurting deep inside and we may feel like there are no words to describe such a terrible pain.
I want to encourage you today, that not matter how much you are hurting now, and what you have been through, or what you are going through right now, you can choose to believe that God Loves you and that he has a plan for your life, a plan of good and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future, regardless of your painful past, present or future. If you draw near to him, he will draw near to you, so he may be able to heal and restore your life. Regardless of your painful situation God can change your story.
What others said or did to you, do not define your future, he who determines your days to come, and know who you are is the One that made you, and loved you with a never ending, never giving up, forever and unstoppable love. So, you are loved, and now you can and you will love and forgive yourself.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. John 3:16
